The Noodle Shop

I loved the felt noodle idea so much!  I put out pieces of felt and let the children cut noodles.  They loved it!  Noodle Shop is open!

  1. Great idea! I have some felt pieces gathering dust, now I can have my son make fun play noodles (I just need to grab a bowl and dig out some chopsticks!). It’s an easy project for my son to do, he has Down syndrome. Thanks for sharing!

Cool idea! I’ve seen it done w/ yarn, but I like this better because of the kids’ creating their own unique noodles!
Good for fine motor skills and to take more ownership of the project!
My 4-5 yr olds are going to love getting their noodle shop going!!! 🙂

Exactly! And it takes some control to cut felt. There is a real feeling of accomplishment. We will form “Felt Food Workshops” where a team of children cut “food” for housekeeping. The children in housekeeping will deliver food requests like it is a grocery store. So much fun!
