I have read a lot of blog posts lately that have made me feel the need to take a closer look at the various approaches to learning. The post that really sparked this is from How We Montessori and is featured first. The following posts are ones that I feel really break down the Reggio approach and take a closer look at some of the elements to this approach. Today I wanted to share some of my favorites of those posts with you.
The first one is a comprehensive comparison from How We Montessori: This post features pictures of the 3 different environments with links below the pics to explain the approach further. There is also a comparison matrix link towards the end which could be really helpful.
The second post is from The Art of Education: This post takes a closer look at the various elements in the Reggio Approach.
The third post is from A Day in First Grade: What I think is special about this post is it breaks down how to incorporate Reggio methods in a traditional school setting. This is very near and dear to my heart since I was a Reggio-Inspired teacher teaching in a public school.
The fourth and final post is from Reggio-Inspired Learning: This post compares the difference between a provocation and an invitation. It really makes you think about the differences between the two where I hadn't really thought about it much before reading this. I had my “Aha” moment!
