This is a special project that a family of one of my students shared. The father had been taught calligraphy from his grandmother. He showed the class how to make a few numbers in Chinese.

What a wonderful activity for the Chinese New Year! I featured your post at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/LivingMontessoriNow
Deb – how fun! I went to your blog (and FB) and you share so many great ideas. Also – loved that you lived in England for a while. I really want to teach overseas for 2 years. Has been on my bucket list for 20 years! Our children are similar in age. Anyway – thanks for stopping by and for sharing my blog!

Thank you for the tip!
What does it say?? I want to try this with my children at book club tomorrow?
Yikes! I am so sorry I missed your question! These are numbers if I remember correctly. I have a sheet that has the numbers 1 – 10 that we practice our calligraphy from.
