This is a simple adaptation of the basic playdough recipe.
Sparkling Snow Playdough Recipe:
Stir together in large pan:
2 cups of flour
1 cup of salt
1 tablespoon of cream of tartar
2 tablespoons of oil
2 cups of water
Cook over medium to medium-high heat. Cook until it sticks together (about 3 minutes). Take it out of pan and let it cool. Knead until smooth. Add glitter. I like to sprinkle several different kinds onto the table and let the children knead the glitter into the dough.
These are the glitters I used. The winter snow in a bag is great for this!
Kneading the glitter and sparkle into the playdough.
Adult supervision is recommended if a child is using glitter because it can be harmful if swallowed.
What a fun winter activity!!!
One of these days we’re going to make our first playdough! It’s on my list. Lovely blog you have here. Thanks for sharing.
