I'm Sally Haughey, founder of Fairy Dust Teaching and The Wonder Tribe! I know all too well the frustration of hearing “play is not learning.” It seems that the academic pressures on young children are only increasing. It is hard. Hard on the children. Hard on us.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
JESSE ROBERT COFFINO is an educator, designer, author and translator. Jesse volunteered to interpret for Ms. Cheng Xueqin, the founder of the Anji Play Approach, during a presentation she delivered at Bank Street College of Education in 2014, her first visit to the United States. Since that time Jesse has acted as Ms. Cheng’s primary translator and interpreter. Most recently, Jesse designed and organized The 1st International True Play Conference (TruePlay2019) in Anji County, China. He has a website at www.anjiplay.com.
TEACHER TOM is a well-known Seattle preschool teacher at the Woodland Park Cooperative School, blogger and widely sought expert on play-based education. He has a deeply reflective blog at teachertomsblog.blogspot.com.
TOM DRUMMOND'S professional goal has been to transform young children’s lives by developing competent, reflective, and authentic early childhood teachers/care-givers/parents. He has a profoundly resourceful website at tomdrummond.com.
VINCE GOWMON is the founder of Remembering to Play Events and the author of Let the Fire Burn ~ Nurturing the Creative Spirit of Children.
