A Fun Dr. Seuss Idea

Okay, so I am a day late and dollar short but here is a fun thing I did for my students:

Using a science fair tri-fold, I painted the cat and the hat on it and cut out face holes.  So much fun!  I drew it free hand but you could use a projector or even your smartboard to trace the image on the board.

I love this! I’m thinking a Dr. Seuss birthday party for my youngest in August with some Truffula tree cupcakes and various props, but this would be a great addition! Not sure if I want to do just one book or several. Hmmm… the wheels are turning!

So cute! They are so lucky to have you as their teacher!

  4. I chose this book for my door decoration context for book week in april and I am going to made paper hats for the students. I hope it works. You just gave me an idea on how to draw the cat because I cannot draw anything to save my life. I do not have a smart board but I can scan the cover of the book an project it on my white board. Yeah! Thanks!
