This week I pulled out a huge bag of boxes and containers I have saved for “Creation Station.”  I told the children they were to create (invent) something that they can use.   (I provided construction paper, glue, scissors, tape)  What they created had to have a purpose.  The class went to a quiet purr for the first time since Spring Break during the late afternoon – here is a peek at what they created:

A puppet theater with puppets (taped on the pens – this student started digging into my stuff to find the pens!! I noticed this when she took down a lamp shade off the lamp for the puppet theater!!)
